Sonnet 132

Eyes filled with sorrow seeing the world of misery
Hearts tormented to find solace and rest
Humanity born out of darkness, into darkness
As if we’ve never panicked or cried for help
Earth revolves around the sun, tilted
That immense gravity, unchangeable
Pulling all things onto its constant course
The night is our eyes, our true identity
Even at our happiest moment, our glimpsing glance
Reveals our uncertainty and concerns
Sadness, grief, fears, and
All that makes life pitiful, beautiful
Eyes hold a soul and his past
Eyes hold our world and universe
