Sonnet 125

Sonnet 125
Laijon Liu 20160619

Ecstasy of St. Teresa, Horror of Laocoon
How men’s reality meets artistic exaggeration
Our fate wanders btwn angel and sea monster
Our minds hit bliss, climax, helpless, torment
Ten thousand arrows shot our hearts
Like sunrays pierce into a hut, set free a soul
A giant python constricts and tosses us
Like tempest, quake wearing the night
But often life feels blank and stagnant
All we do is patrolling in routine numbness
Our silent meditation is more real
Than plot-filled dramas and rockin roll
The carousel amusement is rotating, rotating
The red nose clown making balloons nonstop
