THE GOLD-THREADED ROBE

THE GOLD-THREADED ROBE
By Du Qiuniang (Woman Poet of Tang)
Translated by Laijon Liu 20090122

Hey Yo! Don’t live for the gold-threaded robe!
Hey Yo! Don’t let pass your young prime age!
The roses are blooming, and you must pluck!
Don’t let them fall so you only get their bough!

金縷衣
杜秋娘

勸君莫惜金縷衣,
勸君惜取少年時。
花開堪折直須折,
莫待無花空折枝。

Gushing Wind Song

Gushing Wind Song
By Han Emperor Liu Bang
Translated by Laijon Liu 20090107

Gushing wind rises, oh the clouds flying high.
Conquering all the land and now I come back home.
But where I could find warriors to guard my realms?

大风歌
刘邦

威加海内兮归故乡。
安得猛士兮守四方?
